This is the blog of Counting Sheep Studio, my knitting design website, and the personal blog of Elizabeth Helmich.

I am a self-taught artist. I’ve been a maker of things all my life, and have tried several different mediums. Knitting brings me a passion & joy that never gets old, I can’t be pinned down to a certain style, as there is much exploring left to do!

I live in the Blue Ridge mountains of Western North Carolina, with my husband and spunky kiddo, where I revel in beauty every day.
